Count Down to Kindergarten Calendars
The calendars are distributed throughout Elkhart County and provide parents with important school readiness information which:
- Focuses on spending special time with their children
- Gives children a foundation for experiences they will have in kindergarten
- Suggests activities parents and children can to together at home and in the community
- Uses material found in the home and that costs little or no money
- Is based on the Indiana Department of Education Standards for Pre-Kindergarten
Following the school year from September through August, each month concentrates on a specific domain of early learning, important in building the foundation for school success.
